⭐⭐⭐ Director of IT ⭐⭐⭐

Pay Rate: $125,000–$140,000/year; Based on experience
Location: Near Newburgh, NY (On-site)

Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Experience leading EHR implementation projects required
Industry Experience: Healthcare or not-for-profit IT experience preferred
Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder

Our client in the Newburgh, NY, area is seeking an experienced Director of IT to lead the organization's technology strategy, infrastructure, and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have experience leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation projects, managing IT operations, and developing technology solutions that improve organizational efficiency, security, and user experience. Experience within a healthcare environment or not-for profit organization is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities of the Director of IT will include:

• Provide strategic leadership for the organization's information technology operations and initiatives.
• Lead and oversee EHR implementation, upgrades, optimization, and ongoing support.
• Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, cloud technologies, hardware, software, and cybersecurity initiatives.
• Develop and implement technology policies, procedures, and best practices to support organizational goals.
• Oversee IT vendors, consultants, software providers, and technology-related contracts.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of organizational systems and data.
• Manage IT budgets, technology planning, and capital improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive leadership and department managers to identify technology needs and recommend effective solutions.
• Lead IT projects from planning through implementation while ensuring timely completion and stakeholder communication.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to IT staff while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications for the role of Director of IT:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required.
• Experience working in a healthcare or not-for-profit environment strongly preferred.
• Experience leading Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation projects required.
• Previous IT leadership or management experience.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
• Experience managing technology vendors and third-party service providers.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities with the ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
