Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Salon Stylist Assistant to support our team and help deliver an exceptional client experience. This role is ideal for someone pursuing a career in cosmetology and looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional salon environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed stylists with client preparation, including shampooing, conditioning, and blow-drying (as permitted under California law)
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of stations, tools, and common areas in compliance with California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology regulations
• Greet clients, provide excellent customer service, and ensure a welcoming environment
• Prepare, organize, and restock supplies (towels, products, color tools, etc.)
• Clean and disinfect tools and equipment after each use
• Support front desk operations as needed (booking appointments, checking clients in/out)
• Observe and learn from stylists to build technical skills and product knowledge

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in or have completed a California-approved cosmetology program
• Cosmetology license or apprentice registration preferred (required for performing certain services under California law)
• Strong interest in hair styling and the beauty industry
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, reliable, and team-oriented attitude

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

License/Certification:

• Cosmetology License (Preferred)
