Summary
TRichland Hospital is looking for a compassionate and reliable Dietary Senior Associate to join our team. You’ll play a key role in preparing and serving meals that meet patients’ nutritional needs while maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment. This is a part-to-full time position. This role offers a variable schedule, including weekends and/or a third weekend rotation.
Key Responsibilities:
· Cafeteria: Prep and serve food, stock/fill café, take payments, and wash dishes.
· Coffee Shop: Prepare sandwiches, desserts, and hot line items. Serve customers, take payments, and wash dishes.
· Tray Delivery (AM/PM): Prepare and deliver food trays to patients, following dietary guidelines, serving food to customers and taking payment for food, washing dishes.
· Cook: Prepare meals for staff, patients, and catering; follow diet specifications; clean and organize kitchen, wash dishes
· Dishwasher: Wash dishes, maintain dish room and kitchen, and assist with general cleaning duties, cash handling, serving customers and taking payment for food
· Assist in meal preparation and portioning
· Serve meals for patients in a timely and friendly manner.
· Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas.
· Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
· Other duties assigned by department Manager.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 2 years of related experience in hospital setting
· SERV Safe certification
· Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with patients and healthcare staff
· Proficient on computer
· Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and dietary guidelines
· Cash handling skills, the ability to operate a cash register, make and count change
· Must be detailed orientated & organized
· Ability to manage time & multitask
· Must be able to stand for long period of time
· Cooking experience a plus in hospital setting
· Knowledge of IDDSI guidelines
· Excellent customer service skills
