Per Diem School Nursing Opportunity

The Nurse Network is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Registered Nurse to provide one to one nursing care for a student in the Thompson, Connecticut area. This position is a per diem substitute opportunity providing coverage as needed, with the potential to transition into an ongoing school year assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide one to one skilled nursing care for a student throughout the school day.
• Monitor the student's condition and respond appropriately according to the individualized plan of care.
• Perform tracheostomy care and administer G tube feedings as needed.
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive environment for the student.
• Communicate effectively with school personnel, family members, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow physician orders and nursing standards.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut Registered Nurse license required
• Current CPR or BLS certification required
• Tracheostomy care experience required
• G tube experience required
• Minimum of one year of pediatric or home care experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
