The National Account Manager – Target on our Large Format retail channel team is responsible for directly managing and growing strategic the partnership between HARIBO and Target (retailer) nationwide across the United States. The National Account Manager -Target will achieve and/or exceed sales goals and KPIs by successfully partnering with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals.

This is a remote, field based position. The National Account Manager - Target will have 5+ years of sales and business development experience in the CPG- Consumer Packaged Goods industry. Additionally, this person will have prior experience with headquarters calls, prior national account management experience, and at least 2+ years of experience selling into or supporting Target (retailer) in the CPG industry. While this is a remote field based position, the ideal candidate will currently reside in the greater Minneapolis / St Paul, Minnesota metropolitan area due to the geographic location of Target corporate headquarters

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies and plans that meet assigned sales and market share goals for assigned account – Target (nationwide)
• Consistently achieve sales and profitability goals
• Execute consumer and shopper driven strategies
• Develop accurate rolling sales forecasts, partner with HARIBO's Supply Chain teams to minimize out-of-stocks
• Work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Trade Marketing, Sales Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Category Management, and Finance
• Leverage HARIBO product mix to drive profitability and meet customer and shopper targets
• Conduct headquarter calls at Target (retailer) corporate offices, meeting and presenting to key stakeholders
• Create and execute joint business plans
• Utilize data to develop accurate sales forecasts and use data to drive sales growth opportunities

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of strategic sales experience specifically within the CPG - Consumer Packaged Goods industry
• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior experience selling into or supporting Target (retailer) in the CPG industry.
• Prior experience managing National Accounts
• Prior experience with headquarters calls, calling on/meeting with the corporate headquarters of national retailers
• 2+ years of experience utilizing customer sales and/or syndicated data tools such as IRI, Circana, Nielsen, SPINS, etc.
• Located within a reasonable commutable distance to a major airport
• This is a remote, field based position that requires the ability to travel 40% of the time, as needed, nationwide with overnight stays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Currently reside in the greater Minneapolis / St Paul, Minnesota metropolitan area due to the geographic location of Target corporate headquarters
• 2+ years of experience selling into or supporting Target (retailer) in the CPG industry
• 7+ years of sales/business development, ideally fast-moving consumer packaged goods (FMCG) industry

• Candy, Confectionary, or Salty Snacks experience is strongly preferred

Compensation and Benefits

Target Hiring Pay Range: $135,000 - $155,000 annually

This pay range represents the min/max target annual base salary range HARIBO of America, Inc. may pay for this position at the time of this posting. Please note, a candidate’s offered annual salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant education, experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and the geographical location of the role.
