Fairwood Assisted living is hiring a On-Call/ Part Time Cook/ Dishwasher.

The individual will be responsible for the handling and preparations of food in accordance with sanitary regulations. The individual must be able to meet meal schedules, avoid food waste, as well as the proper use and care of equipment. The individual must be willing to work with others in a co-operative and respectful manner. Must be able to stand and walk short distances for most of the working day, as well as the ability to stoop, reach, lift and carry food and kitchen equipment. Considerable initiative and judgment is involved in setting up meals, seasoning food, estimating food requirements and presenting food in attractive and palatable manner. Works under general supervision, follows standard/special dietary recipes but makes frequent independent decisions relative to type of meal to be served and method of preparation.

All of our cooks are cross-trained as dishwashers as well.

Applicant must be willing and able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Applicant must also be 18 years or older.
Experience is preferred but not required.
Medical and dental insurance is offered to full-time employees.
