Gerharz Restaurant Equipment & Supplies is a full service provider of restaurant design, equipment, supplies, and parts to all segments of the foodservice industry in Central New York and the Continental US.

We are expanding our Accounting Department by adding a new AP Assistant position. Our team is looking to continue its success by adding the right self-motivated, smart, enthusiastic, and customer service oriented individual.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Accounting/Financial

· Look up POs in inventory/accounting software to verify and confirm costs and allocations

· Receive drop ship POs

· Print vendor invoices

· Pull orders to be processed for invoicing

· Enter payables

· Create and process check runs

· Process ACH payments

· Reconcile monthly credit card statements

· Monitor vendor RMAs for timeliness and appropriate application of credit

· Call vendors regarding various inquiries

· Filing

· A/R invoicing as needed

Customer Service

· Answer incoming multi-line phone system calls in a timely, friendly and professional manner

· Direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate person or department

· Respond to vendor emails and voicemails in a timely, efficient, and professional manner

Necessary Abilities/Attributes Include:

The Accounting Department is a 5-7 person professional office within a 50 person company. We are open Monday through Friday 8:30 – 5:00.

This is a full time hourly position.
