Associate Buyer – Full Time, On-Site (Pennsauken, NJ)

As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our buying team to strengthen our vendor network and uncover new deal opportunities.

Position Overview
We’re looking for a driven, detail-oriented Associate Buyer to join our buying department. This person will play a key role in sourcing closeout and excess inventory opportunities, negotiating pricing, and supporting the senior buyer in managing vendor relationships and purchasing strategies. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building relationships, negotiating, and contributing directly to company growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and contact manufacturers, distributors, brokers, and other sources to find closeout and overstock deals.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing vendors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and deal structures to ensure strong margins and value.
• Present offers and opportunities to the Senior Buyer for review and approval.
• Prepare and maintain offer sheets and related documentation for the sales team.
• Collaborate with the Buying Assistant to track, analyze, and report on purchases.
• Monitor industry trends and proactively seek new product categories and buying opportunities.
• Contribute to the overall growth of the company’s buying power and vendor network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Prior experience in purchasing, sales, wholesale, or closeout/liquidation buying preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Analytical and organized, with solid Excel and data management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
