Overview
Join our team as an HVAC/Mechanical Junior Estimator and be at the forefront of project planning and cost analysis for large-scale construction and mechanical systems. As a member of our estimating team, you will support senior estimators by preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and assisting in bid preparation for HVAC and mechanical systems. Duties

• Assist in preparing accurate construction estimates for HVAC and mechanical projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and project requirements.
• Utilize estimating software to develop detailed cost proposals, ensuring competitive pricing aligned with project scope.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms while maintaining cost control.
• Review blueprints and technical documents to identify material quantities, scope of work, and potential challenges.
• Support the review of contracts and scope of work documents to ensure clarity and alignment with project goals.
• Contribute to bid packages by compiling all necessary documentation, including pricing sheets, schedules, and supporting calculations.
• Participate in construction site visits to gain firsthand understanding of site conditions that impact estimates and project planning.
• Assist in tracking project costs throughout the bidding process to support effective cost management and project profitability.

Skills

• Strong negotiation skills to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Experience with construction estimating software is desirable.
• Solid understanding of construction estimating principles specific to HVAC/mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and project management practices.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately.
• Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget tracking within construction projects.
