Position Summary

Regency Electric is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our preconstruction team. This is a full-time, in-office position based in Littleton, Colorado.

The ideal candidate will have commercial electrical estimating experience, strong attention to detail, solid communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple bids, budgets, change orders, and deadlines. This position requires someone who is organized, motivated, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced commercial electrical construction environment.

Responsibilities

The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for estimating commercial and light industrial electrical projects from service-size work to larger-scale commercial projects. Duties may include:

• Review project drawings, specifications, addenda, and bid documents.
• Download, organize, save, and maintain estimating documents and job folders.
• Perform electrical takeoffs for lighting, gear, branch power, feeders, systems, devices, and other project scopes.
• Count fixtures, units, devices, and materials required for project estimates.
• Source quotes from distributors, vendors, subcontractors, manufacturers, and rep agencies.
• Prepare complete and accurate electrical estimates for bids, budgets, change orders, and negotiated work.
• Use estimating software, Bluebeam, and other tools to complete takeoffs and estimates.
• Maintain organized estimate folders, bid schedules, calendars, and proposal documents.
• Prepare and type professional proposals and scope letters.
• Review project scope, exclusions, qualifications, alternates, and pricing assumptions.
• Coordinate with owners, general contractors, vendors, project managers, and internal team members.
• Negotiate professionally with customers and vendors in the best interest of the company.
• Assist with project handoff from preconstruction to project management when projects are awarded.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site walks, scope reviews, and internal estimate reviews as needed.
• Support company growth by helping improve estimating processes, systems, and overall preconstruction efforts.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience estimating commercial electrical projects.
• Commercial electrical construction knowledge and understanding of electrical systems.
• Electrical field experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and related tools.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Highly detailed, organized, and able to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, motivated, dependable, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work full-time in office at Regency Electric’s Littleton, Colorado office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Accubid.
• Experience with Accubid Anywhere is a plus.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license is a plus.
• Experience with Bluebeam or similar on-screen takeoff software.
• Experience estimating design-build, tenant finish, service, ground-up commercial, and light industrial projects.
• Experience with project handoff, budgeting, change order pricing, and customer-facing proposal work.

Compensation

This position offers a salary range of $100,000 to $175,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position based in Littleton, Colorado. Remote work is not part of the standard role unless previously arranged or needed due to special circumstances such as inclement weather or health-related concerns.

The position requires regular coordination with the preconstruction team, project management team, field leadership, vendors, customers, and general contractors.
