Position Summary:

We are looking for a reliable Custom Applicator to join our agronomy team with positions available in Kensington, KS and Logan, KS. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely application of fertilizer and crop protection products to customer fields using modern application equipment. When not in the field, you will assist with general agronomy operations, including equipment maintenance, tendering, and warehouse work.

This is a key customer-facing position, ideal for someone who enjoys operating equipment, working outdoors, and supporting local growers during critical crop production windows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate sprayers, floaters, spreaders, and other application equipment to apply fertilizer and crop protection products.
• Blend and load products according to agronomic recommendations and label requirements.
• Deliver products to customers or field locations as needed.
• Calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and even application.
• Keep detailed application records using GPS and mapping systems.
• Perform daily maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Assist in tendering product to application equipment during peak season.
• Support warehouse operations including unloading, organizing, and tracking inventory.
• Maintain clean and safe working conditions at all times.
• Communicate effectively with agronomy team, sales staff, and customers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain.
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and DOT physical.
• Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of equipment operation and maintenance.
• Ability to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, during peak seasons.
• Must be able to lift 50–75 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and customer-service mindset.

Preferred Experience:

• Prior experience operating sprayers, floaters, or other ag application equipment a plus.
• Familiarity with agricultural chemicals and crop nutrients a plus.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (or willingness to obtain).
• GPS and precision ag technology experience a plus. (e.g., Raven, Slingshot, AgSync).
