The role

As a Floral Sales Consultant, you'll be a trusted advisor and designer — connecting engaged couples with their dream wedding flowers. You'll guide couples through our transparent, proposal-based process while bringing expert floral knowledge and outstanding service. It's a pivotal part of every customer's Poppy journey, and we're looking for someone warm and business-savvy to own it.

What you'll do

Consultation & sales

• Run virtual consultations over Zoom with engaged couples to understand their vision, budget, and floral needs — including evening and weekend slots, when couples are most available
• Guide couples through our online proposal platform, making personalized recommendations
• Educate clients on floral options, seasonal availability, and design possibilities
• Convert qualified leads into bookings through a consultative selling approach
• Hit monthly and quarterly sales targets and KPIs
• Respond to all client emails and messages within 24–48 hours

Product expertise

• Build deep knowledge of Poppy's offerings, pricing, and unique value proposition
• Stay current on wedding floral trends and design styles
• Understand venue logistics and how they affect day-of team planning
• Collaborate with our production team to keep each client's vision aligned

What we're looking for

Experience

• 3+ years in sales or customer service, preferably in the wedding industry — ideally as a florist or at a florist-adjacent company
• 6+ years in floral design as a freelancer or business owner (strongly preferred)
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
• Experience with consultative selling and relationship-building with engaged couples

Skills & knowledge

• Floral expertise: flower types, design principles, industry-standard pricing, and floristry mechanics
• Sales acumen: reading client needs, overcoming objections, and closing
• Communication: exceptional verbal and written skills, comfortable on video calls
• Tech proficiency: comfortable with CRM systems, video conferencing, Slack, Google Drive, and working within a complex tech stack
• Wedding industry knowledge: the planning process, venue logistics, and industry terminology

Pay: $50,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
