Position Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one and group dog training sessions.
- Train dogs in basic obedience, including sit, stay, down, recall, leash manners, and impulse control.
- Teach advanced obedience skills for higher levels of reliability and performance.
- Evaluate and address behavioral issues such as reactivity, fear, anxiety, leash pulling, excessive barking, jumping, and other unwanted behaviors.
- Train and prepare therapy dogs according to established standards and client goals.
- Train and develop service dogs using appropriate task-based training methods.
- Educate clients on proper handling techniques and provide clear, practical guidance to help them continue training at home.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with clients through exceptional customer service and communication.
- Conduct training evaluations and recommend the most appropriate training programs for each dog based on their behavior, goals, and family lifestyle.
- Confidently present and explain our training programs, packages, and additional services, helping clients choose the best solution for their needs.
- Meet individual and team sales goals by converting evaluations into enrollments while maintaining a consultative, service-first approach ( incentive on sales).
- Follow up with prospective and existing clients to answer questions, provide support, and encourage continued training.
- Maintain accurate client records, training notes, and sales activities in the company management system.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of every dog in your care.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional training environment.
- Represent the company with integrity, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
Qualifications
- Previous professional dog training experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of canine behavior and learning theory.
- Excellent communication and coaching skills.
- Ability to build trust and confidence with both dogs and their owners.
- Positive, patient, and solution-oriented attitude.
- Comfortable handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Spanish speaking is a plus but not required for the right candidate.

Pay: $17.00 - $28.00 per hour
