Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Store Associate/Cashier to join our Gas station/convenience store team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the store remains organized and inviting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with POS systems, and a passion for retail sales. Bilingual abilities and supervising experience are a plus, as is the ability to perform product demos and upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction. Responsibilities

• Operate POS systems accurately for checkout transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
• Greet customers warmly and assist with their shopping needs
• Upsell products and suggest additional items to increase sales opportunities
• Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
• Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and rotation
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
• Ensure the store maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
• Support supervisory staff in training new team members and overseeing daily operations when needed
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations

Requirements Include:

• Previous experience in retail sales, gas station/ convenience store experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer interaction skills
• Ability to perform cashier duties accurately and efficiently
• Ability to work independently and be the sole employee on-site
• Experience with merchandising, stocking, and upselling is desirable
• Supervising experience is beneficial for leadership opportunities within the team
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate loads as needed (up to 50lbs)
• A friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Have reliable transportation

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
