Executive Project Manager Wagner Kapoor Institute – Hampton Roads, VAPosition Summary

Wagner Kapoor Institute is seeking an experienced Executive Project Manager to serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This individual will help drive organizational initiatives from concept to implementation, establish accountability, facilitate decision-making, and ensure projects achieve measurable outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone with documented successful complex, who combines project management expertise, Lean process improvement, AI-driven workflow innovation, ability to teach others, and executive-level administrative support. The successful candidate will be comfortable working directly with both senior leadership and team members, challenging stalled initiatives, innovating around perceived stall points, and creating and accelerating momentum across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational projects from planning through implementation.
• Utilize Scrum, Agile, and project management methodologies to drive execution.
• Facilitate leadership meetings, action planning, decision tracking, and accountability.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement Lean process improvement initiatives.
• Constantly evaluate and deploy AI tools and automation opportunities to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Create and maintain project dashboards, KPIs, status reports, and executive summaries.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure deadlines and deliverables are met.
• Drive projects from discussion to execution by maintaining focus on outcomes and timelines.
• Support executive leadership with high-level administrative and operational coordination.
• Develop processes, workflows, and systems that improve organizational performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of complex project management, operations, consulting, healthcare administration, or related leadership experience.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Agile, and project management methodologies.
• Experience applying Lean principles, process mapping, workflow optimization, and operational improvement.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve business operations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive accountability without direct authority.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and follow-through skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management platforms, reporting tools, and AI applications.

Preferred Credentials

• PMP, Scrum Master, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.
• Healthcare operations experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting C-suite executives and organizational transformation initiatives.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
