Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Estimator specializing in Mechanical and Plumbing Systems to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities

• Develop detailed and accurate estimates for mechanical and plumbing systems on a variety of construction projects, including commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.
• Utilize advanced estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare comprehensive bid proposals that reflect project scope, specifications, and market conditions.
• Conduct thorough reviews of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to identify potential risks, scope clarifications, and value engineering opportunities.
• Engage in proactive negotiation with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction management teams to ensure estimates align with project budgets, schedules, and cost control objectives.
• Assist in the review and development of contracts, change orders, and scope modifications to ensure profitability and risk mitigation.
• Support project management during construction by providing cost updates, forecasts, and analysis to facilitate effective decision-making on-site.

Experience

• Proven 5+ years of experience in construction estimating with a focus on mechanical and plumbing systems within commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong proficiency with estimation software such as HeavyBid; experience with Bluebeam for digital plan review is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability in negotiation, pricing strategies, and cost control techniques to optimize project budgets.
• Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety protocols, and construction management principles.
• Familiarity with contract administration processes including review of contracts and scope of work documentation.
• Hands-on experience working on or managing construction sites is preferred to better understand field conditions impacting estimates.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
