Position Title: Vice President of Mission Services

Job Summary:
The Vice President of Mission Services provides oversight of Mission Services, Learning and Development, and Business Services Departments. Duties include developing new programs and strategies, writing proposals and grant applications, and tracking related results. The Vice President of Mission Services will apply innovative, forward-thinking strategies to program implementation.
Please note that this position has an 180- Day introductory period.
Salary range: $130,000 to $150,000 yearly plus potential for bonuses.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides leadership, strategies, analysis, development, oversight and support to ensure the success and compliance of the division’s financial, mission, training, quality improvement and marketing goals.
- Achieves mission, financial and strategic goals through effective budget planning, implementation and oversight, maximizing financial contribution to the organization.
- Ensures sufficient funding and resources for designated services and initiatives. Acquires department funding by applying for grants, soliciting foundation or private donations, responding to appropriate Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and other identified funding sources.
- Develops regional goals, budget, plans, and services in line with Goodwill’s strategic plan.
- Develops and maintains quality relationships with funding and community partners.
- Develops and engages with business advisory councils and associations, as appropriate.
- Maintains accurate documentation of program operations.
- Oversees Missions Services programs and the coordination of employment and training services for people with barriers to employment. Supervises the Mission Services Directors and Managers.
- Oversees Compliance for Mission Services, contract requirements, and adherence to CARF, State
- County, and/or other funder or accreditation regulations.
- Oversees department spending and signs off on approved purchases and reimbursements.
- Performs other related duties as assigned that would lead to successful operation of department, team, and/or mission.
- Acquires mission services funding by applying for grants, soliciting foundation donations and responding to appropriate requests for proposals (RFPs) and other identified funding sources.
- Develops new programs based on community needs and coordinate the provision of services for clients with barriers to employment by effectively managing staff.
- Ensures that all departments under the Vice President’s purview are staffed appropriately and that services provided are effective and meet program goals and outcomes.
- Provide leadership and training to all direct reports. Training could include grant writing, budgeting, staff development, program design and implementation, career pathways for employees, and fund development.
- Ensures that the provision of mission services is consistent with the organization’s
- annual goals in terms of number of persons served and job placements.
- Track all services provided by managing a centralized database.
- Utilizes innovative technologies including AI, to maximize the efficiencies of services and/or processes.
- Assists Business Services by promoting Goodwill programs and services to potential community partners.
- Ensure that Learning and Development is beneficial to employees and commensurate with the training needs of the organization.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office/Office 365.
- Previous success in securing funding through contracts, proposals, and grants.
- Ability to supervise and motivate individuals in a culturally diverse workforce.

Required Experience:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and or abilities required for the position. Individuals must be able to pass a criminal background. Individuals must have a valid driver’s license, liability insurance, insurability under the agency insurance carrier, dependable vehicle and a clean driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years’ experience in workforce/mission services and program management.
- Valid driver license and insured/reliable vehicle.
- Background check.
