• Design, develop, and maintain robust applications using VB.NET with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and clean coding practices. • Build advanced GUI components, including custom controls, dynamic UI rendering, and responsive desktop applications. • Develop and manage multi-threaded applications to ensure optimal performance, concurrency handling, and resource utilization. • Implement image processing functionalities including image display, editing, transformation, and secure storage. • Work extensively with XML data structures, including parsing, validation, transformation, and querying using XPath. • Manage application deployment using ClickOnce, ensuring seamless updates and version control for end users. • Develop HTTP-based functionalities such as secure file downloads, data transfer, and API integrations. • Integrate applications with enterprise systems using EDI protocols, including SAP and other third-party platforms. • Work with or support rule-based systems such as Cincom Socrates or similar graphical rules engines for business logic automation. • Perform deep debugging, code profiling, and performance optimization across application layers. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into highly technical, scalable solutions. • Maintain and modernize legacy VB.NET applications while ensuring backward compatibility where required. Required Technical Skills :- • 5+ years of strong, hands-on VB.NET development experience with deep coding expertise. • Advanced experience in GUI development including Windows Forms and custom control creation. • Strong understanding of multi-threading, asynchronous programming, and concurrency models in .NET. • Proven experience working with image processing (display, editing, saving in various formats). • Solid experience with XML technologies including XPath, XSD, and transformations. • Hands-on experience with ClickOnce deployment and application lifecycle management. • Experience implementing HTTP-based file handling, including secure file download mechanisms. • Knowledge of EDI communication standards and integration with enterprise systems such as SAP. • Exposure to Cincom Socrates or similar rules engines is highly preferred. • Strong SQL Server skills including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning. • Experience with version control systems such as Git or TFS. Preferred Qualifications :- • Exposure to C#, ASP.NET, or .NET Core for modernization initiatives. • Experience working on legacy system transformation or migration projects. • Familiarity with REST APIs, web services, and system integrations. • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
