Lotte Hotel Guam is seeking a friendly, energetic, and service-oriented Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while delivering exceptional guest service. This position ensures the bar is maintained in a clean, organized, and fully stocked condition and complies with all company policies, safety standards, and Guam Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) regulations.

The successful candidate will create memorable guest experiences by providing outstanding service, preparing quality beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming bar environment, and supporting the overall success of the Food & Beverage operations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including specialty coffees, cocktails, beer, wine, and mixed drinks according to standard recipes.
• Deliver friendly, professional, and efficient service while creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Receive beverage orders from guests and service staff, ensuring accurate order entry and billing through the POS system.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all beverage menus, ingredients, promotions, and standard drink recipes.
• Monitor guest alcohol consumption and comply with all Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) regulations.
• Perform opening and closing bar procedures, including inventory counts, cash handling, and workstation setup.
• Prepare garnishes, fresh fruits, and bar supplies daily.
• Maintain adequate stock levels by requesting and replenishing liquor, beverages, glassware, and supplies as approved by management.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, equipment, glassware, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety standards.
• Assist with preparing light bar snacks or appetizers when required.
• Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Participate in special events, banquets, promotions, and beverage competitions as assigned.
• Perform other duties and special projects assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wines, beers, spirits, and coffee beverages.
• Ability to operate the Micros Symphony Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Excellent guest service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail.
• General knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, reach, lift, carry, and move bar supplies and equipment.
• Lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

QualificationsEducation

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a hotel, resort, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
• Experience preparing standard cocktails, mixed drinks, beer, wine, and specialty beverages.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.

Required Certifications

(Must remain valid throughout employment)

• Guam Health Certificate
• Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) Certification
