About the Role:
Sierra Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Shipper/Packer for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) contract. This position supports the packaging and distribution of prescription medications at the CMOP facility in Ladson, South Carolina.
The Shipper/Packer plays an essential role in ensuring prescriptions are packaged securely, accurately, and efficiently for shipment to Veterans nationwide while maintaining compliance with CMOP, VA, and federal standards.
This position is a McNamara-O’Hara Service Contract Act (SCA) position. The current hourly rate is $20.17, and it is non-negotiable.

Must Haves:
EDUCATION
High School diploma or GED; Vocational training commensurate with Department of Labor functional description.
EXPERIENCE
Adequate experience performing the duties of the labor category as described in the Department of Labor functional description.
Contract Specific Requirements and Experience:
REQUIRED:
Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds using rolling carts or pallet jacks. Must be able to stand for extended periods (8–10 hours). Must have the ability to lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must have the ability to read, understand, speak, and write English per 38 U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d). Must have the ability to read data from computer systems and operate scanning equipment. Must have knowledge of hazardous materials and hazardous waste handling precautions.
Must be able to work flexible shifts; operational hours may expand to evenings, weekends, or split shifts based on workload demands or contingencies (e.g., inclement weather, equipment failures, emergencies, staffing shortages). Must be able to obtain a security clearance.
Applicants must be able to pass a background check and meet all VA security and access requirements.
