Ridgeline Engineering Co. is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and improving mechanical systems and equipment while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative, cost-effective, and high-quality engineering solutions. Ridgeline Engineering provides mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering services with a strong focus on project management, custom equipment design, and automation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.
Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
Perform engineering analysis, simulations, and product validation.
Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, and project engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
Develop prototypes and support testing, troubleshooting, and product improvements.
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements.
Participate in design reviews and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Support manufacturing with engineering documentation and production troubleshooting.
Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards.
Communicate technical information effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Professional engineering experience is preferred.
Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar design tools.
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering calculations.
Experience with product development, testing, and validation.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with industrial equipment, automation systems, or custom machinery.
Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and engineering simulation tools.
Familiarity with project management methodologies.
Understanding of applicable engineering codes and industry standards.
