We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our engineering team and support the design, development, and execution of material handling and conveyor system solutions.
About the Role
As a Design Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and improving automated conveyor and material handling systems. You’ll collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to bring concepts to life — from CAD modeling and BOM creation to supporting production and troubleshooting in the field.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a mechanical or industrial engineering background who enjoys hands-on problem solving and wants exposure to the full product development lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design and develop conveyor and material handling equipment using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software
- Create engineering drawings, layouts, and technical documentation for manufacturing and proposals
- Build and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and routings for production and cost estimates
- Support new product development (NPD) from concept through implementation
- Perform engineering calculations and equipment sizing for mechanical components
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, production, suppliers, and internal teams to troubleshoot and improve designs
- Provide technical support for new products and field installations as needed
- Assist in creating manuals, testing procedures, and engineering documentation
- Electrical or Mechanical experience
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Experience with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and 2D AutoCAD
- Understanding of manufacturing, mechanical systems, and engineering fundamentals
- Familiarity with conveyors, warehouse automation, or material handling systems is a plus
- Basic knowledge of electrical controls and automation systems preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to be hands-on in both office and production environments
- Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
Pay - $65+ - depending on experiece
