SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with strong structural expertise to lead pipeline-related design, construction management, and integrity management projects from inception through delivery. This role involves multi-disciplinary project execution (civil, mechanical, and electrical) with a primary emphasis on utilities and pipeline infrastructure. The successful candidate will manage project teams, contractors, budgets, and changes to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project delivery.
SCOPE
Proficient in several aspects of the industry. Can lead moderate to large sized projects and make decisions and recommendations on technical or complex issues. Exercises considerable judgment and initiative in interpreting policy in the planning and implementation of major work assignments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead the planning and execution of complex pipeline and utilities projects, including design, construction management, integrity management, and commissioning.
· Perform structural engineering tasks related to foundations, excavations, retaining structures, steep slope stabilization, and other critical civil/structural elements.
· Manage multi-disciplinary project teams, external contractors, financial controls, and change management to successfully deliver projects on time and within budget.
· Prepare engineering calculations, material takeoffs, cost estimates, specifications, and detailed construction drawings.
· Extract and interpret engineering information from CAD drawings and provide technical guidance to CAD Designers, Drafters, and junior engineers.
· Review supplier drawings, perform technical bid evaluations, and prepare equipment/material requisitions.
· Provide technical oversight on structural integrity, geotechnical considerations, and constructability for pipeline and utility facilities.
· May serve as the Professional Engineer of Record, providing sealed and signed engineering documents.
· Act as a technical advisor to senior management on complex engineering and structural matters.
REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
· 5–10 years of relevant experience in the energy, oil & gas, or process industry.
· Strong structural engineering background with demonstrated experience in foundations, excavations, retaining walls, and steep slope restorations.
· Registered Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license or ability to obtain SE highly preferred.
· Proven project management and team leadership experience on multi-disciplinary projects.
· Proficiency in engineering design software and CAD systems.
· Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions on complex issues.
Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
