About the Role
We are looking for an experienced, highly skilled Senior Irrigation Technician to serve as a technical leader on our service team. This is a senior-level field position for someone who excels at complex troubleshooting, advanced system programming, training others, and supporting sales with technical assessments. You will be the go-to expert for our most challenging irrigation jobs and help elevate the entire service team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead complex irrigation repairs and troubleshooting on high-end residential systems
• Perform advanced controller programming (multiple controllers, multiple water sources, WiFi systems, cycle & soak, percent adjust, etc.)
• Set up and modify Hydrawise & Baseline controllers and other smart systems
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical issues (multimeter, two-wire systems, traditional vs Hunter EZ-Decoder, etc.)
• Rebuild backflow devices, service advanced water filtration systems, and handle pump installations/removals
• Improve system uniformity, efficiency, and application rates on every job
• Train and mentor Apprentice and Technician level staff
• Support sales and estimating teams with technical assessments and proposals
• Perform system checks, create punch lists, and follow up on crew work
• Maintain CIT and CLIA certifications and continue professional development

Requirements

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on irrigation service and repair experience
• Strong knowledge of advanced irrigation systems, controllers, pumps, and two-wire systems
• CIT Certification required (CLIA preferred)
• Proven ability to train and mentor junior technicians
• Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Professional communication skills and strong work ethic
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
