A|VAIL Family Counseling and Psychotherapy, Inc. is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Clinician Intern (BBS Registered) to join the team. As a Clinical Therapist Intern, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference, and use your clinical abilities to promote success and wellness in the community as part of a team in our supportive environment. Qualifications:

• 
  Must be detail oriented in documentation.
• Preferably experienced in Medi-Cal documentation requirements.

• Prior experience working with Telehealth Services (Preferred).
• 1-3 years of proven experience as a counselor.
• Must have proof of Registration with the BBS, with associate number current and in good standing with the BBS.
• Must have proof of professional liability insurance.
• Must be culturally sensitive and informed.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to see a minimum of 5 - 15 patients weekly.
• Must be empathic and compassionate, with excellent communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities:

• Consulting with new clients to gauge their difficulties and resources.
• Familiar and willing to use Holistic recourses and referrals.
• Devising tailor-made treatment regimens and adapting these, as needed.
• Work collaborative when needed to promote a Holistic approach and continuity of care.
• Addressing concerns through talk therapy and/or other trauma modalities by modeling adaptive, sustainable behaviors.
• Weekly Supervision and team meetings when necessary.
• Promoting constructive self-reflection, helpful coping techniques, and nurturing relationships.
• Monitoring perceptions about and adherence to suggested treatment.
• Recording symptom over time to ascertain the utility of interventions.
• Writing medical and suitable referral notes, as required.
• Staying warm, engaged, and receptive as you work to facilitate healing.

Roles:

• Part Time- generally will be expected to work 5-34 hours a week with at least 5 hours being billable hours.
• Full Time- generally will be expected to work 35-40 hours a week with at least 27 hours being billable hours.
• The remaining hours may be for non-billable duties such as administrative tasks, staff training, group meetings, supervisory meetings, schedule audits, and any other tasks and duties approved by A|VAIL Family Counseling and Psychotherapy, Inc.
• Non-billable tasks may be added, excluded, or changed at any time A|VAIL Family Counseling and Psychotherapy, Inc.
• You are expected to report to work promptly in accordance with and based upon your assigned work schedule and location (remote in a private environment with Excellent reception) unless you have obtained prior approval of your supervisor to report to work at some other time or unless unforeseen circumstances arise.
