Compensation: $65,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience, plus performance-based bonus eligibility

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Head Brewer to lead all brewing and production operations at our Tampa, FL facility. This is a fully on-site role with an immediate start available. The Head Brewer owns the entire process — raw material handling, brewing, blending, carbonation, cellaring, sanitation, quality assurance, and packaging oversight — and works directly with ownership on recipe development and scale-up. You will set the standard for safety, quality, and record-keeping on the floor and lead the production team. Our portfolio includes carbonated and functional beverages, so brewers comfortable applying their craft beyond traditional beer will thrive here.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all aspects of brewing and beverage production, from raw material receiving through finished product, in accordance with SOPs, safety requirements, and quality standards.
• Execute and oversee core brewing duties: tank filling and blending, product carbonation, clarification, and monitoring of finished beverages.
• Develop, refine, and scale recipes in collaboration with ownership; support new product development and pilot batches.
• Maintain accurate production records (paper and digital), including batch, blending, cellaring, and clarification logs, to cGMP standards.
• Own sanitation across the facility: CIP of blending areas, cellaring vessels, lines, and equipment; maintain HACCP and cGMP compliance.
• Implement and enforce quality assurance processes; coordinate with QA/QC and Lab on specs, testing, and release.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; coordinate outside repairs to minimize downtime.
• Manage raw material and packaging inventory levels; coordinate with warehouse on receiving, staging, and logistics.
• Supervise and train production staff on SOPs, food safety practices, and safe equipment operation.
• Oversee packaging runs, ensuring throughput, cleanliness, and fill/seam quality standards.
• Enforce safety standards, including industrial chemical handling and safe machinery operation.
• Communicate effectively across departments, including QA/QC, Lab, Packaging, Sales, and Marketing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of brewing or beverage manufacturing experience; lead or supervisory experience strongly preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of sanitation practices, HACCP, cGMP, and food safety regulations.
• Formal brewing education (Siebel, UC Davis, or equivalent) preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with brewing/beverage equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Highly accurate record-keeping and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to read, write, and perform production math (dilutions, conversions, batch scaling).
• Demonstrated leadership and training ability in a manufacturing setting.
• Experience with carbonated, RTD, or functional beverages a strong plus.
• Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other material handling equipment.
• Flexibility to work any shift as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 55 lbs. from ground to shoulder height and up to 110 lbs. from ground to waist height. Move up to 155 lbs. along the floor.
• Climb stairs, ramps, and ladders regularly.
• Work in small or confined spaces and loud environments.
• Safely handle acids, caustic sanitizers, and other hazardous chemicals using personal protective equipment.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
