Novo Building Products is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to identify and implement the best path forward while turning raw data into actionable insights and driving strategic decision making. Day-to-day responsibilities will center around data optimization, assisting IT with data governance, business intelligence development, ensuring business leaders are provided with timely, actionable information via accurate key performance indicators, concise reporting, and dashboard development. Critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills are utilized in partnership with stakeholders to diagnose area specific issues and recommend solutions fitting within the organizational strategic framework. This role will stay current with emerging BI technologies and best practices, incorporating them where possible to help Novo maintain efficiencies, cost controls, expand its capabilities, and operate as a leader in data-driven decision making.

This is a hybrid position with 2-3 days at the corporate office in Zeeland, MI and remote work from home.
The salary range for this position is $70,000-$80,000
Essential Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain data models and Power BI visualizations
Evaluate software capabilities to continuously improve data models and the user experience
Create and maintain systems to enable quick and effective strategic decision making while continuously improving existing tools.
Identify development needs to improve and streamline data pipeline, enhancing data availability, and documenting best practices / processes.
Contribute to the design, implementation, and analysis of solutions to ambiguous problems including dashboards, scorecards, ad hoc analysis, and data extracts.
Communicate at appropriate level of detail to all levels in the organization, including senior leadership, to positively influence strategic initiatives and day-to-day operations.
Compile business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations.
Act as a liaison between business intelligence, the user-base, and IT to resolve issues and take advantage of improvement opportunities.
Provide training and support to end users.
Balance long-term strategic business intelligence goals with day-to-day user requirements.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s degree
Two (2) or more years of relevant experience in business analysis and reporting
Strong knowledge and proficiency with Power BI, including data modeling, measures, and visualizations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skills.
Ability to communicate written and verbal technical concepts and processes to technical and non-technical users as well as various levels of leadership.
Strong customer service orientation.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
Proficiency with Database Connectivity (JDBC, ODBC), SQL, PostgreSQL, and python
Experience working with data lake and data warehousing technologies
Ability to learn new application
