Position Summary

Ethic Tech is seeking a highly skilled and mission-oriented AV InstallationMaintenance Lead to spearhead the physical deployment, testing, and sustainment of mission-critical Audio-Visual (AV) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems supporting Marine Forces Special Operations Command (MARSOC).

In this role, the lead will serve as the hands-on technical lead for on-site integration, field installations, and rapid-response preventative and corrective maintenance. The lead will oversee rack fabrication, field wiring, and component-level troubleshooting in highly secure environments, ensuring that tactical briefing rooms, operations centers, and conference spaces maintain maximum operational readiness.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Field InstallationIntegration:

• Lead the on-site physical deployment of complex, multi-classification AV systems, including structural rigging, equipment mounting, and precise rack building according to approved engineering designs.
• Perform high-quality copper and fiber data terminations, structural cable pulling, routing, and professional labeling in compliance with military facility standards.
• Load, test, and perform basic modifications to control system configurations (Crestron, Extron, AMX) and digital signal processors (DSPs) during the deployment phase.

DiagnosticsCorrective Maintenance:

• Serve as the primary technical tier-responder for critical AV system failures, isolating faults down to the component, cable, or software configuration level.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools (multimeters, cable analyzers, signal generators) to test, tune, and calibrate audio, video, and control signals.
• Coordinate with the Senior AV Systems Engineer and external vendors to manage equipment RMAs (Return Merchandise Authorizations), firmware updates, and hardware replacements with minimal disruption to the end-user.

Quality AssuranceLogistics:

• Conduct strict Quality Assurance (QA) testing on all new installations, completing system checkout lists, "as-built" documentation updates, and operational handoffs.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance inspections (PMIs), checking hardware health, thermal performance, and cable integrity across all managed spaces.
• Maintain an accurate on-site inventory of spare parts, specialized tools, and test equipment to support rapid-response maintenance requirements.

Required SkillsQualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution and military MOS or rating equivalency at the E-5 or above level.
• Minimum of five (5) years in program coordination or quality management, specifically supporting DoD technical services.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive, hands-on experience in commercial or defense-sector AV integration, installation, and field maintenance.
• Reporting Integrity: Project status reports and AARs must be documented with 95% accuracy and submitted to the government within five (5) business days of completion.
• Customer Satisfaction: Achieve a benchmark of 85% positive reviews from MARSOC end-users based on post-renovation training and feedback surveys.
• Security Compliance: Must maintain an active Secret clearance and demonstrate exhaustive knowledge of DoD physical security procedures for classified briefing environments.
• Deep technical knowledge of enterprise-grade AV switchers, digital signal processors, matrix routers, and secure VTC hardware (e.g., Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Cisco, Poly).
• Proficient in reading and interpreting AV line drawings, architectural plans, and structural details. Master-level skill in rack fabrication, structural mounting, and precision cable termination.

Preferred Qualifications

• AVIXA CTS-I (Certified Technology Specialist - Installation) is highly preferred (or a path to attain it within 90 days of hire).
• Manufacturer-specific technical certifications (e.g., Crestron NVX/Technician, Extron AV Associate/Installer, Biamp Tesira).
• Familiarity with DoD 8570/8140 baseline requirements (e.g., CompTIA Security+) is a significant plus if tasks interact with military network domains.

Citizenship and Security Clearance

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must possess an active Secret clearance.
• Must be clearable to TS/SCI.

Work Environment

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, work in tight spaces (such as equipment closets or under conference tables), and stand or walk for extended periods during active installation cycles.
• 10%-25% travel required.
