Position Summary
We are seeking a highly organized, technically minded Technical Sales & Operations Coordinator. Serving as the operational heartbeat of our company, this pivotal role bridges the gap between client requests, technical execution, logistics, and administration. Key Responsibilities
Client Relations & Sales Support
- Primary Liaison: Act as the first point of professional contact for client inquiries via phone, WhatsApp, email, web forms, and in-person visits.
- CRM Management: Log, track, and maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all customer interactions and opportunities within the CRM.
- Pipeline Tracking: Monitor and report on sales activities, including open opportunities, active quotes, backlog status, and the overall sales pipeline.
- Events & Marketing: Assist with logistics and coordination for local boat shows, industry networking events and all marketing efforts to push sales.
Estimating & Technical Quoting
- Proposal Development: Review inbound technical requests, assess job complexity, and draft comprehensive estimates, quotes, and proposals.
- Cost Accounting: Ensure precise pricing structures incorporating specialized labor rates, component costs, materials, shipping, and payment terms.
- Technical Validation: Gather technical specifications, dimensions, photos, and videos to ensure proposals accurately align with vessel requirements.
Procurement & Logistics
- Supply Chain Management: Source and order specialized marine parts online and through original equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
- Vendor Relations: Request pricing and lead times from suppliers while building strong, long-term vendor partnerships.
- Inventory Control: Receive, inspect, quality-check, repack, and distribute parts to field technicians and clients.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain an organized repository of technical manuals, catalogs, product information, and warranty documentation.
Operations & Field Coordination
- Scheduling: Assist management in the optimization of job scheduling, resource allocation, and field technician dispatching.
- Workflow Administration: Oversee field-service workflows, including work orders, photo documentation, warranty reporting, and formal client sign-offs.
- Cross-Department Synergy: Serve as the central communication link connecting Operations, Logistics, Commercial Sales, and Administration.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Education & Experience
- Technical Background: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Naval, Industrial, or Electrical) or equivalent hands-on marine technician experience paired with strong administrative capabilities.
- Industry Experience: 5+ years of experience working with technical parts, manuals, and technical-commercial documentation, preferably in the marine sector.
- System Knowledge: Deep understanding of marine engineering systems, their real-world applications, and operational principles.
- Procurement Expertise: Proven track record in purchasing, inventory management, and technical logistics.
Technical & Language Skills
- Unit Conversion: Mastery of unit conversions (metric vs. imperial) to accurately specification-match European and American yacht components.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft 365 (highly advanced Excel skills required), Google Workspace, and professional CRM systems.
- Language: Native or fully professional English proficiency. Professional Spanish fluency is highly advantageous.
Preferred Attributes
- Luxury Sector Experience: Prior experience working within the luxury megayacht or superyacht sectors.
- OEM Networks: Established relationships with marine OEMs and premium yacht manufacturers (e.g., Ferretti Group brands, Sunseeker, Azimut).
- Workflow Familiarity: Deep understanding of OEM service standards and formal field-service workflows.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL (100% on-site at our workshop and office).
- Environment: Hybrid environment spanning a professional office, technical workshop, and outdoor field support (marinas and shipyards).
- Physical Demands: Ability to safely lift, handle, and inspect marine parts and equipment packages.
Position Details
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Overtime when needed.
- Reporting Structure: Reports directly to the Sales / Commercial Manager and/or CEO/Owner.
- Compensation: Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, technical capabilities, and background.
