Spindle is a technology company that builds the infrastructure for industrial operations to measure and improve their productivity. Businesses of every size – from startups to public companies – use our software to collect data and manage their industrial laundry operations more efficiently.
We are looking for an independent professional who thrives in autonomous environments without constant oversight. Combination of experience or understanding of project management, industrial manufacturing operations, electromechanical maintenance or industrial automation, Industrial Laundry operations are a plus.

The main responsibilities will include:
Spindle Technologies Project Implementation and participation in all phases of successful Spindle project delivery, including:
- Initiate project process using project management software and project templates.
- Define project dates and milestones – assign internal resources to various project phases.
- Perform remote prework as defined in project templates engaging internal/external stakeholders.
- Visit customer sites and create detailed project scopes and supporting documentation, update tasks, timelines and milestones for internal and external teams and stakeholders.
- Remote configuration and setup of Spindle software and hardware prior to onsite implementation.
- Visit customer sites, install and validate Spindle hardware, network, and make custom connections between industrial equipment and instrumentation and Spindle hardware per project documentation.
- Visit customer sites, perform system startup and data validation, train customers on the use and management of software application and tools following pre-defined processes and SOP’s.
- Provide remote customer support through Zendesk platform.
- Visit customer sites, perform field service troubleshooting/repair visits and system upgrades ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.
- Complete special projects related to process improvement and process documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to assist in continuous improvement of our processes and products.
- May be occasionally required to travel to our Woodridge, IL facility to assist with in-house engineering responsibilities, projects and Spindle equipment assembly.
- Represent and grow Dober/Spindle technical and equipment advantage in the marketplace.

Required Qualifications / Experience:
- Must be willing to travel 80% of the time. Typical M-F travel - 3 weeks - 1 week home office.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work remotely with minimal supervision or direction.
- Must be physically able to work at heights from ladders/lifts.
- Must be physically able to work in hot, dusty, dirty environments.
- Must be able to operate basic hand and power tools.
- Must possess basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills in an industrial setting.
- Must possess basic network understanding (LAN and WLAN) and be able to learn basic troubleshooting processes and tools.
- Must understand and implement safety and PPE requirements when applicable.
- Must be able stand/walk for up to 10 hrs. occasionally lifting up to 50lbs.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- High School education required, and project management/maintenance/industrial automation experience and/or technical training preferred.
- Basic understanding of electrical/electronic/electromechanical theory and engineering and/or electrical experience.
- Project management/CRM digital tools experience such as Asana/Jira/Zendesk/HubSpot/Etc.
- Computer literacy required: Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
- Must possess a passport or able to obtain within 3 months for occasional international travel if applicable.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
