A-Team Solutions is seeking highly motivated Biosafety Level Four Laboratory Scientists (Levels I-VII) to support critical research initiatives focused on emerging and high-consequence viral pathogens at a premier federal research facility in Frederick, Maryland. This position supports translational human and animal research involving infectious disease pathogenesis, immunology, virology, and therapeutic development within a Biosafety Level 4 laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities
Research & Scientific Support
- Conduct translational human and animal research focused on high-consequence emerging viral pathogens.
- Support studies involving infectious disease pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment strategies.
- Perform virology, microbiology, and immunology-based laboratory assays.
- Analyze experimental results and prepare scientific reports, summaries, and presentations.
Biosafety Level 4 Laboratory Operations
- Develop and maintain proficiency working safely and effectively within a BSL-4 laboratory environment.
- Follow all laboratory safety, biosecurity, and regulatory requirements.
- Support laboratory quality assurance and compliance activities.
- Maintain accurate records and laboratory documentation.
Laboratory Sample & Inventory Management
- Organize, track, and maintain laboratory samples, supplies, and equipment.
- Establish and maintain reliable specimen inventory systems.
- Support specimen accountability and chain-of-custody requirements.
Scientific Collaboration
- Coordinate activities with laboratory technicians, technologists, and fellow scientists.
- Present scientific updates during team meetings and research discussions.
- Assist with implementation of new laboratory methods and technologies.
Technical Development
- Implement and optimize virology and immunology assays.
- Learn and integrate new laboratory techniques and technologies.
- Support continuous improvement of research methodologies and laboratory operations.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- Master's Degree in:
- Microbiology
- Virology
- Immunology
- Molecular Biology
- Biological Sciences
- Related Life Science Discipline
Experience Requirements
Scientist I-II
- Early-career laboratory scientists with demonstrated research experience.
- Experience performing biological, microbiological, or immunological assays preferred.
Scientist III-V
- Several years of progressively responsible laboratory research experience.
- Experience conducting independent scientific investigations and data analysis.
- Experience in infectious disease, microbiology, immunology, or virology environments preferred.
Scientist VI-VII
- Advanced scientific expertise and demonstrated leadership in laboratory research.
- Extensive experience managing complex scientific projects and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong record of scientific contributions, publications, or technical accomplishments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Biosafety Level 4 (BSL-4) laboratory experience.
- Experience conducting virology and immunology assays.
- Experience with emerging infectious disease research.
- Familiarity with specimen storage, inventory management, and accountability systems.
- Experience working with animal research models.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Work Environment
This position supports research conducted within a federally regulated Biosafety Level 4 laboratory and may involve work with high-consequence pathogens as part of authorized research activities.
