About Rebus Energy Solutions
Rebus Energy Solutions develops VANTAGE, an enterprise SaaS platform that powers mission-critical logistics, dispatching, workflow automation, invoicing, regulatory reporting, integrations, and real-time operational workflows for the energy industry. For more than a decade, we have continuously evolved VANTAGE into a comprehensive enterprise platform. As we grow, we are investing heavily in cloud technologies, modern engineering practices, AI-assisted software development, and stack modernization.
We are a founder-led, highly collaborative engineering organization. Our founders remain actively involved in software architecture, product design, code reviews, and technical decision-making. We operate as an agile, distributed team across the United States and India, where every engineer has a voice and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Work Environment
We value in-person collaboration and believe some of our best engineering work comes from architects and developers brainstorming together, reviewing code, solving complex problems, and making technical decisions side by side. This role is based in our Denver office, where you'll work closely with the founders and the local engineering team while collaborating daily with teammates in India.
About the Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role. We are looking for an engineer who thrives on solving difficult technical problems, designing scalable systems, and writing production-quality code. Success in this role means spending most of your day actively building software, reviewing pull requests, and mentoring engineers—rather than primarily coordinating work or managing projects.
One of your first priorities will be leading the modernization of our existing DevExtreme/Knockout.js application to React while continuing to deliver new enterprise capabilities across the platform.
We care far more about demonstrated ability, ownership, and technical excellence than titles or years of experience. If you've built great software, enjoy solving hard problems, and want to help build an exceptional engineering team, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop our enterprise SaaS platform while remaining an active contributor, writing production-quality C# and React code.
· Lead the migration of our DevExtreme/Knockout.js application to React.
· Design cloud-native solutions using Azure, microservices, and asynchronous messaging.
· Review pull requests, mentor engineers, and elevate engineering standards.
· Improve testing, CI/CD, observability, documentation, and performance.
· Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve software quality and team productivity.
Required Experience
· Demonstrated success designing, developing, and deploying enterprise SaaS applications using C# and .NET.
· Track record of leading complex technical initiatives from architecture through production.
· Strong experience with microservices, REST APIs, and asynchronous messaging.
· Deep hands-on experience building cloud-native solutions in Microsoft Azure.
· Strong SQL Server performance tuning and React/TypeScript development skills.
· Experience modernizing enterprise applications and migrating legacy frontend frameworks to React.
· Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
