Betty Dare Wellness & Rehabilitation Center is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) to lead our therapy department. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of rehabilitation services, supporting a high-performing therapy team, and ensuring exceptional outcomes for our residents.

Position Summary

The Director of Rehabilitation provides leadership and oversight for all rehabilitation services, including Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy. The DOR partners closely with facility leadership, nursing, case management, and physicians to maximize resident outcomes, optimize census growth opportunities, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all rehabilitation services and therapy operations.
• Lead, mentor, and support therapy staff to achieve clinical and operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company regulations, policies, and documentation standards.
• Monitor key performance indicators, including clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, productivity, and quality measures.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans and successful discharge outcomes.
• Support Medicare and Managed Care programming while identifying opportunities to grow the rehabilitation census.
• Manage staffing schedules, productivity, and departmental resources effectively.
• Conduct performance evaluations, staff development, and ongoing education initiatives.
• Promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care.
• Participate in facility leadership meetings and strategic planning initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), or Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• Previous leadership experience in a rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Managed Care, PDPM, and rehabilitation operations.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
