We’re looking for a hands-on Coveo Platform Lead to own search, discovery, and merchandising experiences for an enterprise commerce environment. In this role, you’ll guide platform strategy, improve search relevance and personalization, and help turn the search experience into a measurable driver of conversion and self-service success.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation and administration of Coveo for Commerce, including source setup, indexing, query pipelines, and machine learning models.
  
• Design and maintain integrations between Coveo and headless CMS/DXP platforms, ensuring reliable data flow across content, product, and search systems.
  
• Optimize search relevance and merchandising performance through tuning of ranking, facets, filters, synonyms, featured results, and category or listing page rules.
  
• Develop and refine recommendation and personalization strategies that support measurable commerce outcomes such as conversion, average order value, and reduced search abandonment.
  
• Apply B2B commerce search practices for account-based catalogs, contract pricing visibility, complex hierarchies, and role-specific buyer experiences.
  
• Explore conversational and generative AI search approaches to enhance discovery beyond traditional keyword search.
  
• Partner with product and engineering stakeholders to shape the roadmap, prioritize enhancements, and translate business needs into a clear technical backlog.
  
• Build and support custom search experiences using Next.js, React, Coveo Headless, and Atomic components.
  
• Use analytics and search performance data to identify gaps, uncover zero-result queries, and guide ongoing optimization efforts.
  
• Serve as a technical point of contact for the search platform and present recommendations, progress, and results to both technical and business audiences.
  
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and DevOps teams to support production readiness, scalability, and secure implementation.
  
• Share best practices and mentor teammates on Coveo tools, search UX patterns, and implementation approaches.

Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering Coveo in enterprise environments.
  
• Strong understanding of Coveo for Commerce, including relevance tuning, personalization, recommendations, and query optimization.
  
• Experience integrating Coveo with a headless CMS/DXP platform such as Optimizely or similar systems.
  
• Background in B2B commerce search, including contract pricing, account-based catalogs, and complex product structures.
  
• Ability to work across product, engineering, and client stakeholders with clear communication and collaboration.
  
• Hands-on development experience with Next.js, React, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Coveo Headless or similar frameworks.
  
• Experience using search analytics to improve relevance and conversion outcomes.
  
• Ability to think strategically while still contributing directly to technical execution.

Preferred Skills

• Coveo certification or equivalent credential.
  
• Optimizely Content Cloud or Commerce Cloud experience.
  
• Familiarity with other enterprise search or DXP platforms such as Adobe Experience Cloud, Sitecore, or Algolia.
  
• Experience with conversational AI, generative search, or agentic search patterns.
  
• Knowledge of cloud environments such as Azure or AWS that support search and commerce integrations.
  
• Experience in consulting or multi-client delivery environments.
  
• Familiarity with API-first integration patterns, including REST and GraphQL.
  
• Experience building reusable accelerators, frameworks, or shared components.
