Seeking an experienced Lead Machine Operator to join our team.

***2nd Shift: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with rotating days off***

The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and machine operator experience (extrusion processes a plus) and the ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot machinery to ensure safe, efficient, high-quality production.

The Lead will also be responsible for training Operators and material handlers.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-speed extrusion equipment.
• Troubleshoot and adjust processes to maintain quality and efficiency.
• Perform equipment changeovers, preventive maintenance, and minor repairs.
• Train and mentor team members on the setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues, develop best practices, and drive improvements.
• Maintain accurate records of production metrics and report on performance.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols within the workplace.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in high-speed extrusion operations, preferably with Kreyenborgand/or MAS systems.
• 2+ years of training and/or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of extrusion processes.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical ability to perform all activities on the extrusion equipment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively train plant personnel on safe and efficient operation of production equipment.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical instructions and SOPs.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
