JOB POSITION: MATH INSTRUCTOR

Mathnasium of Fremont is looking for energetic, passionate and capable math instructors with a strong Math background and excellent communication skills. We provide excellent teaching opportunities for the right candidate. We serve our students year-round, so this is an opportunity for regular part-time work with guaranteed hours weekly. You do not need a teaching certificate but it is nice if you have it. We will train all qualified candidates once hired.

Requirements:
- Aptitude to work and teach math concepts to students from 1st to 12th grade
- Must be fluent in geometry, algebra II, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, and statistics
- Excellent communication skills with a sense of humor and an upbeat attitude
- An open mind readily able to learn the Mathnasium teaching method
- Committed, reliable and passionate about working with children
- Prior teaching/tutoring experience a plus
- Must have clean background check
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
- Must pass Mathnasium Math Literacy Tests

Responsibilities:
- Explaining and illustrating math topics using a variety of strategies using the Mathnasium Method of Instruction
- Assisting with school homework
- Interacting and motivating students during the instruction hour
- Evaluating and rewarding students’ daily progress
- Completing administrative tasks as assigned including daily opening and closing tasks

*Monday – Friday 3:00-7:30pm and Saturday 9:00-11:00am. MUST be available to work throughout the school year.
