Why we are hiring:
We need a local technical anchor in Memphis. Right now our senior people travel too much to and from job sites. We want someone based here who can lead crews, solve hard technical problems on site, and reduce the travel load on the rest of the team. You will be our go-to expert in this market. You will still travel for projects from time to time.
What you will do:
- Lead on-site installation for large and complex projects, directing crews of 2-6 technicians.
- Cable, terminate, mount devices, and wire panels across multiple platforms.
- Configure, commission, and troubleshoot access control and surveillance systems, including Lenel and Feenics. Experience with Avigilon, Genetec, Software House, Honeywell, or similar is a plus.
- Pull and terminate structure cabling.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced technical issues that others cannot, on cabling, devices, and panels.
- Complete redline markups and as-built documentation.
- Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and clients to keep jobs on schedule.
- Mentor junior technicians and raise the technical standard of the crew
What you need:
- 5+ years of low-voltage installation experience across access control, CCTV, and intrusion.
- Hands-on panel wiring and device termination across multiple manufacturer platforms
- Direct experience with Lenel and/or Feenics is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead a multi-person crew on site.
- Strong troubleshooting and commissioning skills.
- State alarm/low-voltage license preferred. If you do not hold one, we will help you get licensed.
- Manufacturer or industry certications.
- Valid drivers license and willingness to travel for projects as needed.
What we offer:
- Pay range above, set by your assessed level.
- Field Engineer track is salaried with annual performance bonus of 5-15% of base.
- Licensing assistance if you are not yet licensed.
- A clear, documented promotion path. Field Engineer advances I to II to III. Senior technicians can move into Field Engineering or Operations Leadership.
- A team that backs it's field teams and holds high standards for both craft and character.
