Terminal Manager — Houston, TX

EDI is one of the largest logistics drayage companies specializing in port operations, with a growing presence across major U.S. port markets. We are seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead our Houston operation.

About the Role
This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the full day-to-day operation of our Houston terminal. You will be primarily responsible for driver team — ensuring that our clients containers move efficiently and on time.

A strong network of owner operator relationships in the Houston market is a major asset in this role.

Our main functions, including billing, customer service, and driver payroll, are managed by our New Jersey headquarters, allowing you to stay fully focused on what happens on the ground in Houston.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the full yard and terminal operation, ensuring smooth daily execution
• Recruit and onboard new drivers to grow and strengthen the local fleet
• Drive driver retention through strong leadership, communication, and support
• Negotiate rates directly with drivers
• Manage dispatch operations and daily load assignments
• Ensure drivers are meeting delivery windows and customer commitments
• Partner closely with our New Jersey headquarters on billing, customer service, and driver pay matters

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing a drayage or trucking terminal/yard operation
• Strong background in driver recruiting, retention, and rate negotiation
• Hands-on dispatch experience
• Strong leadership skills — comfortable managing a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Houston port market knowledge a strong plus
• An existing network of owner operator relationships in the Houston market is a major plus

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
