Appalachia Design Services (ADS) is a full-service Architecture, Civil Engineering, and Surveying firm specializing in commercial, industrial, institutional, aviation, and Design-Build projects throughout the region.
We're looking for an Interior Designer to join our architectural team. Whether you're an experienced designer or a recent graduate eager to launch your career, we're looking for someone with creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for creating functional, attractive spaces.
You'll work directly with our Registered Architect and design team while gaining experience on projects from concept through construction.
What You'll Do
- Assist in the design of commercial, industrial, institutional, and aviation facilities.
- Develop interior finish palettes, color schemes, and material selections.
- Create floor plans, interior layouts, and furniture plans.
- Produce 3D renderings and presentation materials.
- Assist with specifications for finishes, fixtures, and furnishings.
- Coordinate interior design with architectural and engineering disciplines.
- Participate in client meetings and project presentations.
- Assist during construction with submittal reviews and finish selections.
- Continue learning through mentoring and hands-on project experience.
Qualifications
Required
- Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture (or graduating soon)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with a creative mindset
- Ability to work well within a collaborative team
- Desire to learn and grow professionally
Preferred
- Interior design experience (internship or professional)
- Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Enscape, Lumion, or similar visualization software
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of commercial building codes and accessibility requirements

Pay: $52,000.00 - $83,200.00 per year
