Alu Materials America (AMA) is an aluminum manufacturing company located in Halls, Tennessee, specializing in aluminum extrusion products including solar panel frames and precision aluminum components.

AMA is part of a global Korean-based manufacturing organization bringing advanced manufacturing technology and international expertise to the United States.

Our facility is currently in the startup and installation phase, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Anodizing Manager to help establish production systems, lead manufacturing teams, and support the launch of a new aluminum manufacturing operation.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys building processes, developing teams, and helping launch a new production facility.

Position Summary

The Anodizing Manager will oversee the daily manufacturing operations of the aluminum extrusion facility, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently achieved.

This role will lead production teams and work closely with Maintenance, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient plant operations.

The Anodizing Manager will play a key role in the startup phase of the facility, helping establish production workflows, staffing plans, and operational standards for long-term success.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Manage day-to-day operations of aluminum billet casting, extrusion, anodizing, and fabrication production lines.
• Ensure production schedules are achieved while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Monitor production output, equipment performance, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate production workflow to maximize productivity

Manufacturing Process Management

Develop and implement efficient production schedules and manufacturing workflows

Monitor key production metrics, including:

• Productivity
• Scrap rates
• Downtime
• Equipment efficiency
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction

Team Leadership

· Supervise production supervisors, operators, and manufacturing staff

· Build and develop a strong production team during plant startup

· Provide coaching, training, and leadership development

· Promote a strong safety and performance culture

Safety & Compliance

· Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations and company safety programs

· Promote safe work practices across all production areas

· Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions

Quality Coordination

· Work closely with the Quality team to ensure product specifications are met

· Support quality systems including ISO, IATF 16949, and VDA 6.3 standards

· Address production issues impacting product quality

Equipment & Maintenance Coordination

· Collaborate with Maintenance to ensure equipment reliability

· Support preventative maintenance programs

· Assist with troubleshooting production equipment issues

Continuous Improvement

· Implement Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives

· Lead projects focused on improving throughput and reducing waste

· Support automation and process optimization initiatives

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or related field

· 7–10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience

· Experience managing high-volume manufacturing operations

· Strong leadership and team development skills

· Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices

· Ability to work effectively in a startup manufacturing environment

Preferred

· Experience in aluminum extrusion, billet casting, anodizing, or metal manufacturing

· Experience in solar, automotive, or industrial manufacturing sectors

· Experience with ISO, IATF 16949, or VDA 6.3 quality systems

· Experience supporting new manufacturing facility startups

Pay: From $100,000.00 per year
