Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CMM Programmer to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming and operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured parts. This role requires a strong understanding of quality control standards, blueprint reading, and advanced measurement techniques to ensure products meet strict specifications and industry standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, and ASME codes. The CMM Programmer will play a critical role in maintaining high-quality manufacturing processes and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and write programs for Coordinate Measuring Machines (in calypso and Smart Scope (OGP) software.
• Operate CMM equipment accurately to measure complex parts and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings and schematics.
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical schematics to determine inspection requirements.
• Conduct quality inspections utilizing precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other tooling.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards including ISO 9001, AS9100, and ASME codes & standards.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot measurement issues and recommend process improvements.
• Conducts first article, in-process and final inspections on a variety of parts and assemblies using appropriate inspection equipment and quality documentation.
• Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation for quality records and audits.
• Support calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment to uphold accuracy standards.
• Assist in training team members on measurement techniques and quality procedures related to CMM programming.

Experience

• Proven experience in CMM programming using calypso & SmartScope (OGP) software
• Strong background in quality control, quality assurance, and dimensional inspection within manufacturing or machining environments.
• Ability to run & program Zeiss CMM machines
• Strong Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and schematic interpretation.
• Ability to create, develop and use CAD models in SolidWorks
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100 standards
• Mechanical knowledge related to tooling, CNC machining processes, and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
• Experience working with CAD software
• Ability to read schematics and understand manufacturing drawings accurately.
• Strong math skills including geometry and basic algebra relevant to measurement calculations. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
