GENERAL MISSION

The Machinist is responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining machines to produce precision metal or plastic parts according to specifications. This role ensures high-quality output, adheres to safety standards, and contributes to continuous improvement in the manufacturing process.

SPECIFIC ATTRIBUTES

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC and/or manual machining equipment.
• Perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished products for quality and conformance to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machinery as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety and company protocols.
• Collaborate with engineers, quality control, and other team members to optimize production processes.
• Maintain accurate production records and document any machine maintenance or issues.

• To keep abreast of the requirements related to its activity of quality safety and environment (QSE);
• Observe the QSE which are in the form of sheets of instructions;
• Back the information to his N + 1 in case of malfunction or difference noted;
• Maintain compliance and clean updated equipment at its disposal;
• Manage documents relating to its service quality;
• Alert anyone in its activity does not respect the QSE instructions;

· Participate actively in the continuing improvement in QSE;

· Ensure communication clear and precise of all requirements of the customer within the company;

· Being associated with all studies likely to achieve 'Total quality'.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

EDUCATION LEVEL :

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or machining certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a machinist or in a similar role.
• Proficient in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments.
• Experience with CNC machines is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards and manufacturing best practices.
