Oversee daily operations, staff, workflow, budget and inventory of the shop. Direct daily activities, manage workflow, and provide technical oversite to all repair operations. Diagnose, adjust, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and transportation vehicles including light, medium and heavy duty trucks and earthmoving equipment as needed. This is a salary position.

Duties Include:

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and rebuild failures on mobile or stationary equipment and vehicles
• Provide and maintain a weekly schedule of repair operations and staffing required to complete repairs in coordination with the supervisor
• Ensure needed parts are available when needed to complete repairs
• Ensure repairs are completed correctly in a timely fashion
• Help diagnose and provide technical oversite on all repairs
• Safely operate equipment and transportation vehicles for diagnosing and testing purposes.
• Document in a timely manner all repair work completed
• Proactively communicate with company personnel concerning equipment and job-related projects
• Safely use welding and flame-cutting equipment to perform welding duties
• Maintain a safe and organized shop environment
• Maintain and manage the inventory of shop and jobsite supplies
• Wear personal protective equipment at all times
• Properly care for and maintain company equipment
• Working more than 40 hours per week as needed
• Working nights and weekends as needed
• Perform manual labor as needed
• Out of town travel may be required
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction

• Bend, kneel, or squat to reach repair areas

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of diagnostics and repair processes
• Must have a valid drivers license for the state in which you reside
• Class A or B CDL a plus
• Must own tools required to complete mechanic projects, or be willing to obtain tools

Education:

• High school graduate preferred
• Prefer completion of heavy equipment and/or diesel technology program

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment or truck technician.
• Prefer 3 years of experience as shop manager

Pay: $1,400.00 - $1,700.00 per week
