Job Description:
The Mathematics Instructional Coach provides leadership, professional learning, and coaching support to teachers on the development of mathematics practices that increase opportunities for all students to succeed. They are responsible for providing continuous expertise and support via the processes of co-planning, co-teaching, instructional modeling, and reflecting. The goal of the school-level coaching position is to ensure instructional coherence and rigorous learning. The math instructional coach is responsible for collaborating with school-level content specialists, executive staff, building administrators and teachers to identify school-based areas requiring immediate intervention and improvement. Coaches will meet regularly with other members of the coaching cadre and content specialists to develop and implement systemic strategies and processes, aligned with school-wide goals and ACPS long-range goals. This is a Licensed 10-month, 195 day position and reports to the School's Principal.
