Position Description

Responsibilities and Duties (*Essential Functions)

• 
  Instructs and guides the class in an efficient and effective manner

• 
  Maintains accurate records of student work and attendance

• 
  Prepares thoroughly for each instructional hour

• 
  Maintains a safe and orderly learning environment

• 
  Grades and returns student work in a timely manner

• 
  Counsels students regarding their grades and progress in the course

• 
  Maintains current knowledge of industry standards, certifications, and technologies relevant to industrial automation, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.

• 
  Stays abreast of industry trends and incorporates new information into the delivery of courses as necessary to maintain the relevancy of instruction and contributes to discussions and planning related to lab equipment.

• 
  Research, plan, organize, and deliver meaningful instruction using experiential learning methodologies to maximize student learning and meet the needs of internal and external partners.

• 
  Conducts training classes and labs on-site at Wake Technical Community College campuses and Industry and Employer Sites.

• 
  Establishes and executes meaningful learning objectives, modifies instructional strategies as needed to meet the diverse needs of students, and uses student-centric approaches to learning.
