Job Duties of Production Engineer

The professional position offered is that of a bilingual (English/Chinese) Production Engineer to work on a fulltime basis to perform the following duties:

o Coordinate objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability and minimize cost (60% of work time):

• Supervise the production procedures and troubleshoot production problems involving design, material, or process.
• Inspect the quality of the production process, and promptly notify the team and operators to correct any problems to avoid recurrence.
• Prepare blueprints and engineering specifications for new production processes and engineering procedures.
• Monitor, analyze, and prepare weekly production reports, and report them to the manager with suggested ideas to improve production efficiency.
• Evaluate manufactured products according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
• Communicate with the management team to develop production and design standards.
• Communicate production capabilities, production schedules, production problems and solutions with headquarter.
• Keep up with current and developing engineering trends.

o Minimize production delay caused by late materials (25% of work time):

• Prepare materials according to SPEC, BOM and requirements of the Engineering Department.
• Coordinate with the material team for making sure all materials be timely prepared and provided to the production line.
• Work with the maintenance team for making sure all equipment and tools working properly.

o Optimize existing assembly and logistics operations (15% of work time):

• Test and validate the production suspension system, analyze failure mode, and maintain test reports.
• Support the mechanical installation techniques and ensure efficient working process.
• Determine root causes of failures and recommend changes in design or processing methods.
• Select most efficient and cost-effective tools for assembly processes.
• Streamline production logistics for the reefer trailer plant and reduce any unnecessary inventory cost.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
