We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Product and Pricing Analyst to join our team in Rolling Meadows, IL. In this role, you will own the product lifecycle from selection and analysis to vendor relationships and marketing support. You will play a key part in shaping our product portfolio and growing profitability in a competitive market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Sell-Through Analysis
- Analyze product sales performance and sell-through rates to identify trends and opportunities
- Generate regular sales reports and present actionable insights to leadership
- Monitor inventory levels and turnover to align product availability with consumer demand
Product Selection
- Use historical sales data and market trends to curate a product assortment that resonates with customers
- Evaluate products for inclusion or discontinuation based on performance and strategic fit
- Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to optimize procurement decisions
Digital Asset Management
- Review, organize, and maintain digital assets including product images, descriptions, and metadata
- Manage the digital product catalog and coordinate with vendors to obtain required materials
Competitive Analysis
- Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to benchmark pricing, assortment, and positioning
- Deliver competitive intelligence reports with recommendations to grow market share
P&L Management
- Maintain and manage the product category Profit & Loss statement
- Analyze cost structures, pricing strategies, and promotional impacts on profitability
- Provide monthly P&L updates and variance analysis to leadership
Vendor Relations & Promotional Support
- Negotiate promotional programs, vendor-funded deals, and co-op marketing opportunities
- Coordinate with vendors on sales support materials and in-store activations
Marketing & Weekly Specials
- Support the marketing team with product information and pricing for weekly specials campaigns
- Plan and execute product-focused promotions that drive traffic and basket size
- Review promotional effectiveness and iterate on future campaigns using sales data
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in product management, category management, pricing analysis or a related role
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets with the ability to translate data into decisions
- Experience with P&L management, retail margin principles, and promotional planning
- Strong vendor communication and negotiation skills
- Experience managing digital assets and online product catalogs
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving industry
