SENIOR SHOPIFY ECOMMERCE SPECIALIST
Rockville is looking for a senior, AI-forward Shopify ecommerce operator who has worked inside a high-volume, SKU-heavy ecommerce business and knows how to improve, test, optimize, automate, and scale a complex Shopify site.
This is not a basic Shopify admin role. This is not a general digital marketing role. This is not a fashion/apparel ecommerce role. This is not a simple content update position.
We are looking for someone who has worked on a Shopify ecommerce site doing at least $10M+ in annual revenue or 15,000+ orders per month, with at least 500 unique SKUs, preferably thousands of SKUs.

Location: Inwood, NY, directly across the Queens border from Far Rockaway and minutes from the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue A train terminal
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
Compensation: $90,000-$110,000 per year, based on experience

Rockville is a fast-growing ecommerce brand in the audio and consumer electronics industry. We design and sell speakers, amplifiers, subwoofers, car audio, marine audio, pro audio, DJ equipment, lighting, mixers, microphones, recording equipment, and more.
Our ecommerce environment is more complex than a typical single-brand Shopify store. We sell our own branded products while also managing thousands of additional SKUs across many outside brands and product categories.
That means product data, site structure, search, filtering, merchandising logic, integrations, automation, conversion, content, and customer experience all matter.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Shopify Ecommerce Specialist will help own the performance, functionality, optimization, testing, and continuous improvement of our Shopify ecommerce experience.
The right person must understand how to operate in a high-volume ecommerce environment with large product catalogs, complex product data, multiple Shopify apps, conversion tools, customer journeys, and third-party integrations.
We are especially focused on hiring someone who is extremely AI-forward. You should already be using AI tools in your daily ecommerce work, including for coding support, content optimization, workflow creation, automation, research, data structuring, troubleshooting, and improving site performance.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Help manage, improve, and optimize customized Shopify ecommerce sites
- Support a high-volume, SKU-heavy ecommerce business with hundreds to thousands of products
- Own testing and QA for site changes, app updates, integrations, launches, and relaunches
- Support website redesign, relaunch, and continuous improvement projects
- Use AI tools for coding support, troubleshooting, content improvement, automation, data structuring, and ecommerce optimization
- Build and improve Klaviyo automations, workflows, customer journeys, and ecommerce email/SMS logic
- Work with tools such as Boost, Rebuy, Klaviyo, Shopify apps, analytics tools, product feeds, and related ecommerce platforms
- Build and maintain data models, rule sets, workflows, merchandising logic, product logic, recommendation logic, and automation rules
- Improve product discovery, search, filtering, navigation, recommendations, upsells, cross-sells, product pages, collections, and conversion paths
- Troubleshoot site issues, app issues, broken workflows, product data problems, feed issues, and integration problems
- Collaborate with marketing, product, leadership, vendors, app partners, and operations
- Move quickly while maintaining strong accuracy, testing discipline, and attention to detail
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who:
- Has 5-7+ years of total ecommerce experience
- Has hands-on Shopify experience in a high-volume ecommerce business
- Has worked on a Shopify site doing at least $10M+ in annual revenue or 15,000+ orders per month
- Has worked with at least 500 unique SKUs, preferably thousands
- Has experience with non-apparel / non-fashion products
- Has experience in complex ecommerce environments with product data, catalogs, integrations, workflows, apps, and site optimization
- Is extremely AI-forward and actively uses AI tools in daily ecommerce work
- Understands how Agentic AI can be used to sell, optimize content, improve workflows, automate tasks, and stay ahead of ecommerce trends
- Has experience with Shopify apps and integrations
- Has experience with Boost, Rebuy, and Klaviyo, strongly preferred
- Has experience building Klaviyo automations and workflows
- Has experience testing site changes, integrations, app updates, and relaunches
- Has experience building data models, rule sets, automations, and ecommerce workflows
- Is highly detail-oriented, highly organized, and a very strong communicator
- Moves fast while keeping multiple projects and priorities moving forward
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Wants to work on-site in a collaborative, founder-led, fast-scaling ecommerce environment
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 5-7+ years of ecommerce experience
- Hands-on Shopify experience
- Experience working on a Shopify site doing at least $10M+ in annual revenue or 15,000+ orders per month
- Experience with ecommerce businesses managing at least 500 unique SKUs
- Experience with non-apparel / non-fashion products
- Strong understanding of Shopify, Shopify apps, product data, catalog structure, site testing, integrations, and ecommerce workflows
- Strong AI tool usage for ecommerce, coding support, content optimization, automation, research, troubleshooting, or data work
- Experience with site optimization, user experience, product discovery, search, filtering, recommendations, and conversion improvement
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Inwood, NY
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience in pro audio, consumer electronics, automotive electronics, marine electronics, tools, equipment, parts, or another SKU-heavy technical product category
- Experience with thousands of SKUs
- Experience working with both owned-brand products and third-party/resale products
- Experience with a fully customized Shopify site built for a fast-scaling ecommerce business
- Experience with Boost, Rebuy, and Klaviyo
- Experience building Klaviyo workflows, automations, segmentation logic, and ecommerce customer journeys
- Experience taking ownership of a website redesign, relaunch, migration, QA process, or major Shopify improvement project
- Experience with Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, or AI-assisted coding
- Experience with product feeds, Google Merchant Center, Meta, GA4, analytics tools, heatmaps, A/B testing, or CRO tools
- Ability to commute within approximately 45 minutes of Far Rockaway / Inwood, Long Island
