Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Provide individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions using modalities like behavioral therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and psychotherapeutic techniques tailored to client needs.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Engage in ongoing research and data collection to support clinical research initiatives and improve treatment outcomes for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field; licensure or certification as required by state law.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, addiction counseling, and geriatrics is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and clinical documentation standards.
• Experience working with telehealth platforms and delivering remote mental health services effectively.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Ability to manage crisis situations swiftly while maintaining professionalism and compassion.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses and treatments; experience working within inpatient or outpatient settings is advantageous.
