The Opportunity
Ready to lead dynamic communications that tell our story and drive impact for a 2,300-member organization? We're seeking an energetic, independent Communications Manager to execute all communications for TBR and CATRS (our MLS technology subsidiary), crafting compelling messages for REALTOR® members, technology users, affiliates, and the general public. The CEO and COO set strategic direction and priorities; you own the tactical execution across channels that connect and inform. You'll have autonomy to make day-to-day decisions, collaborate across departments, measure what matters, and see your work create immediate impact. This is hands-on work with direct access to leadership; a pivotal role for someone passionate about meaningful communication.
What You'll Do
- Execute strategic communications across all channels: newsletters, website, social media, press releases, and member updates. Craft clear, compelling messages tailored for diverse audiences.
- Build and manage media relationships; write, edit, and distribute news releases, media advisories, and press materials; coordinate outreach with local journalists and media outlets.
- Create and manage editorial calendars, content deployment strategies, and messaging frameworks that align organizational priorities with member, affiliate, and public-facing content.
- Measure results and optimize: build KPI dashboards, report performance to leadership, and use data to refine tactics and recommend strategic adjustments.
- Oversee digital platforms and ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM and data privacy regulations.
- Collaborate with coordinators to ensure brand quality and consistency; develop crisis communication protocols for rapid response.
- Coordinate multimedia and video content production; operate basic cameras and edit accessible video formats for rapid distribution.
About You
- 5-7 years in communications, marketing, or association management with a proven track record executing successful campaigns.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills; ability to craft compelling narratives for diverse audiences; strong proofreading and attention to detail.
- Experience with media relations, press inquiries, and journalist outreach.
- Proficiency with CMS, email platforms, social media, Microsoft Office, and design tools (Adobe or Canva).
- Strong analytical skills; comfort with data and KPIs.
- Independent self-starter who executes without constant oversight; makes sound tactical decisions and collaborates well across teams.
- Video editing experience preferred, or willingness to learn basic multimedia workflows.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Why You'll Love This Role
- Competitive salary: $58,000-$70,000 with growth potential.
- Exceptional benefits: 100% Capital Health Plan (premier local provider), 100% Dental, vision, life insurance, 401K match up to 10%, and 10 days vacation and 10 days sick leave annually.
- Autonomy to make tactical decisions within strategic direction set by leadership. Execute and see immediate impact.
- Direct access to CEO and COO; collaborative team of talented professionals.
- Opportunity to shape organizational narrative and amplify our voice with members and the community.
